Rooms are clean, staff was really nice. .... I have not tried the grocery store (seemed a little pricey), laundromat was total $4.50 CAD, and restaurant seemed clean. I did not expect much for this area... and they have exceeded expectations with very friendly staff, and clean hotel! ..... as some noted, no climate control... beware. Aug 6th perfect time of year to open a window.

I usually went to the pub which has some fun games inside. Mainly pool and the basketball game was super fun with the right crowd. Not to mention the shuffle board

I am stayed twice at Andrea's Hotel. Some of the nicer rooms in town. Rooms are very clean with plenty of parking. Stay off tries to be helpful but the front desk clerk is also the bartender and sometimes the waitress in the restaurant is also the cook. There are other eating establishments close to the motel but I believe the hotel is were staying at.

I do not understand how, if there is even a chance of 30+ degree heat during the summer months, a hospitality establishment can get away with having no reliable climate control in their rooms. My husband and I stayed here in late July of 2018, when the temperatures outside went as high as 34 degrees, and being in the Yukon, the sun didn't set until 11:00 p.m. or thereabouts. Our room on the second floor was a sweltering, airless box and the fan in the room merely blew hot air around (think of a hair dryer on the highest setting). We both ended up taking ice cold baths at midnight to try and cool our bodies down enough to get a few hours of sleep after having been on the road for 8 hours that day.Other than that, the wallpaper in the guest corridors is laughably kitschy, featuring garishly colored woodland scenes and creating an overall claustrophobic feeling. The front desk staff were indifferent at best, barely sparing us a glance as we frequently exited the hotel so we could breathe for a few moments and cool down slightly.Bottom line - if there's a chance that temperatures are going to be seriously hot, you owe it to your paying guests to install at least those cheap little window air conditioners. Also, fix the decor in the guest corridors. It looks ghastly. And smile. Seriously.

Went into the main lobby for entry into the liquor store. It turns out the lobby is the liquor store. On the main counter the prices for the beer and other liquor are posted. You then order what you want to the person at the desk and they retrieve what you want. They must do this to counter a theft problem. It all seemed to work and the person who served me was very helpful. They also sold some tourist souvenir t shirts that were offered for only $15, the best price available on the Alaska Hwy.
